How is Rutter's data sorted?
Rutter syncs and fetches its data from underlying source platforms. Then Rutter normalizes and stores the returned data objects, in the order they were returned from the source platform. These objects are then surfaced through our endpoints in the same sequence.
This means that objects will appear in the order they were processed by Rutter—not necessarily the order they were created on the original platform. The created_at timestamp reflects when Rutter ingested and stored the object in our system.
Additional Considerations
This applies to most platforms, though some may behave differently due to source API limitations. If you notice unexpected ordering, please reach out to Rutter support.
